Islam critiqued teaches Muslims a lesson, Quran says Israel is for Jews

In answer to the video "The Quran, Abraham, Zarathustra and the Furnace"

Sure, the Israelites were bound to God with a covenant stipulating that they would be blessed with a land in exchange of their obedience isnt disputed but repeatedly confirmed in the Quran "Enter the holy land which Allah has decreed for you". What the Quran makes clear however, is that no covenant is unconditionally everlasting and the Hebrew Bible itself attests to this reality concerning the Jews' land grant and promise of divine protection.

This is the crucial point missed by the Israelites, that God granted that particular favor to their lineage, not because of their race, but because the Torah was in their midst and not among any other people. When they forsake the Torah, they lose the favor and if another nation upholds it as it ought to be done, it becomes blessed with the same favors promised to the Israelites. That fact is particularily made clear in Ezek47:22-23, stating that any non Israelite adopting the way of the Torah becomes automatically elligble to the land covenant, a land that will cover a far greater area than Canaan, in "the end of days". The same is echoed in Isa56:9-14 and Zech2:15.

As a final observation, from the time of David until the fall of the northern kingdom of Israel, Isaac's descendants did not rule over the land of Canaan for more than 250 years. This makes the notion of an unconditional, everlasting land covenant contrary to historical reality. But the land has always been in the possession of the children of Abraham indiscriminately. This undeniable fact forces one to either reject the land Covenant as including only the Israelites or to reject its eternal nature.
