Who was fooled by a traveling rock?

In answer to the video "Muhammad said, "Nothing Makes Water Impure"

The trinitarians sometimes use the following verse to prove Jesus' preexistence
1Cor10:4"They drank of that spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ"
Of course Jesus was not actually with the Jews in the wildreness, following them. Paul is employing imagery by identifying Jesus with the promised messiah, the hope of Israel as amply described in the HB, and those who looked forward to him were strengthened in anticipation, they "drank" ie got strength and nourishment, from knowing that he was coming. As a side note, Paul here is clearly appropriating the Jewish legend of the water giving rock that miraculously followed the Israelites in their desert wandering, and using it with a Christological perspective. Paul does the same to Abraham who becomes, like Christians, justified by faith alone Rom4. Christianity thus becomes an Abrahamic religion, predating Judaism and not an obvious perversion and corruption of it.
